25 years is a long time – a quarter of a century even! And that’s how long icandy has been in business helping our customers make meaningful connections.
The icandy story all started with an antique guillotine, a head full of ideas, and a leap of faith. At 30, Lisa took a bold turn away from the corporate world and into the unknown. And what began as a small side project making greeting cards on the living room floor has grown into a thriving, proudly New Zealand business that now supplies hundreds of retailers and countless loyal customers across Australasia.
Along the way, icandy has been a canvas for life’s ups, downs, and everything in between – helping people share love, laughter, and life’s little moments through heartfelt messages and hand-finished designs.
Looking back, Lisa says icandy feels like her first child. “It’s been a labour of love, full of challenges and triumphs. What I treasure most are the stories from our customers – how a simple card helped them express something they couldn’t put into words. That’s the magic we try to create every day.”
While it’s a huge milestone, the heart of icandy remains unchanged. The cards are all 100% NZ-made, hand-finished with care, and designed to help people connect with the people they care about. And the dramatic growth in the business, while humbling, has allowed Lisa to work full time in the business, creating more art, more fun and more human connection.
So here’s to a wonderful 25 years and continuing our with our vision of bringing a little more joy, a little more sparkle, and a whole lot of heart into the world!
